General Communication Issues

General communications issues from the Communication Department.

Sharing a Choice Bit of Information
As Christians, we need to be very careful when we pass along unsubstantiated information we have received from an e-mail, a letter, a phone call, or whatever. How can we be sure that we are not simply passing along gossip and perhaps unwittingly passing along an untruth? There are positions within the church where certain individuals have a need to know information regarding certain situations. Those who have such positions must be trusted to determine the proper steps that must be taken to resolve that issue. In most cases, we do not a need to know the details of some "juicy" bit of gossip, whether true or untrue! Elder Fred Earles recently shared a document about gossip and tail bearing. It would be good for all of us to take a close look at that document before we pass along that next "choice" bit of information.
