| In the Media Development office, God has given us clear, powerful marching orders: “The followers of Christ, as they approach the time of trouble, [should] make every exertion to place themselves in a proper light before the people, to disarm prejudice, and to avert the danger which threatens liberty of conscience” (The Great Controversy, p. 616).
There are few ways more powerful to place ourselves “in a proper light before the people” and “to disarm prejudice” than the public media of today. As a result, the Media Development Department has begun planning an aggressive, powerful television and radio commercial production project like this church has never seen before! Intriguing, thought-provoking commercials on health, family life, patriotism, disease prevention, and a host of other topics will be made available to churches and local Adventist business owners to air in their communities. These new programs will energize the church, help us gather names in the community for future outreach, and, as the prophet wrote, help place Adventists in “a proper light” and “disarm prejudice.”
